Industrial-scale production of fiber-based oral pouch packaging has been initiated

Future Materials Solutions is now taking the next step in accelerating the transition from plastic to fiber-based packaging.

Following the successful development of the world’s first fiber-based oral pouch can together with PulPac and industry partners, we are moving from concept validation into industrial-scale production.

To support this transition, Future Materials has invested in new Dry Molded Fiber production capacity that will establish one of the first dedicated production environments for fiber-based oral pouch packaging in Sweden. The investment marks a major milestone in our mission to replace plastic packaging in high-volume consumer categories.

Built for Industrial Production

Oral pouch packaging represents one of the most technically demanding packaging categories in the market. The products require durability, precision, scalability, and cost-efficiency at extremely high production volumes.

Our production platform is designed to meet those requirements while enabling a transition toward renewable fiber-based materials and circular manufacturing systems.

Powered by patented Dry Molded Fiber technology from PulPac, the production process enables resource-efficient manufacturing with significantly lower water and energy consumption compared to traditional fiber forming technologies.

Scaling the Transition Away from Plastic

For us, this is more than a packaging innovation.

It is the beginning of a larger industrial transition.

As global demand for sustainable packaging solutions continues to grow, Future Materials is building the infrastructure, production capabilities, and partnerships needed to support brands looking to move away from single-use plastics.

What began as a concept is now becoming a global industrial reality.

Looking Ahead

With production capacity underway and growing interest from international partners and brands, we continue to expand our network and prepare for the next phase of global growth.

Our ambition is clear:

To make fiber-based packaging the new standard for the oral pouch industry and beyond.
